Most of the things in my life are analyzed, researched, and all consequences are weighed. Because of this quirk I am extremely neat and organized (I think this is why I enjoy baking so much) person. Also, I am usually a leader rather than a follower. Except when it comes to my personal life.
...Ah, the part of my life that is riddled with weaknesses. If you know me you're probably saying "...What??!! You're not weak." But I am. You see, I have never told another person that I loved them even when I did.
For instance, one person in particular told me he loved me only after knowing me for a couple weeks. In response to his declaration of love, I said "...how can you love me when you know so little about me?" (It would have been an incredibly romantic moment except for the fact that I ruined it be questioning his love for me.) In turn he responded with "What I know about you so far I love..."
My question to you is "...What is real/true love? And what does it feel like?" Is there a magical moment when true love smacks you in face and you realize ...holy crap I'm in love? Now that I have divulged all my insecurities the one thing I am confident about is how delicious and incredibly easy this pineapple crumb cake is.
It's a beautiful and tasty coffee cake to serve to holiday visitors. Also, it freezes well and the flavors of the cake intensify amazingly well after a day. Just dust the cake with a touch of powdered sugar before serving to make it a true coffee crumb cake.

This is a "must make" cake. Thanks so much for posting this one, can't wait to try it.
Real love = you don't have to second-guess those feelings.
Looove pineapple cakes! So refreshing and sweet.
Real love? when u have that connection that can't be broken- no matter what... When both are willing to work at the relationship... also trust and communication. I agree w/veggiegirl- no second guessing at all.
Looks yummy....and thanks for the honesty. True love is so different it's hard to quantify. I loved my children instantly and my love with my husband is far greater than 23 years ago when I wasn't even sure what it was. Love changes as you do. Is that super clear now? SORRY!
This sounds soooooo good!
Family aside, I have only ever been in love once (and lost). To me it was thinking about and longing to be with that person every day. Having instant understand pass between you with the catching of your eyes, believeing everything they do right and wonderful and that you would follow them to the ends of the earth. But to quote Shakespear 'True love never did run smooth.'
The cake looks wonderful and I have no doubts that it was delicious.
Hi, I have a question about this ingredient: "1/2 cup plus 2 tbl of hazelnuts, finely ground must yield one cup total". Doesn't if measure less after you grind it? I so want to try this!
They always say that you will know real love when you have it. In my experience, I thought I've been in love with a lot of people, and discovered I was wrong ;) Hah! With the real love of my life I have now... we were friends for a long time before we dated. One day it was as though a switch were thrown and from that day forward it just made sense to be together and the love that is between us was undeniable, unquestionable and inseparable.
Love this cake btw :D
Love Pineapple in cakes. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Oh and real love is not red hot passion, but that comfort level you feel like they are a part of you, good or bad.
For me, real love is knowing someone will be there tomorrow instead of just hoping they will be.
I'm popping over to wish y'all a Happy Thanksgiving.
I hope you turkey browns and your sweet potato souffle fluffs.
Unconditional... love~
This will add pounds to the hips but who cares! I'm making this one.
Thank's. I'm from Russia
